Choose a stakepool to delegate your stake too. There are a variety of wallets that will let you choose who to delegate your stake to and how much of your stake to delegate. Please choose your wallet carefully, we recommend the Yoroi wallet as it is easy to use and cross platform.

You are registered with a particular stakepool when you are delegated to them as you cross the epoch boundary and are included in the snapshot.

Once the registered epoch is completed your stake contribution becomes active. This means that your stake is part of the active pool stake. The active stake is used to decide the amount of blocks (and therefore rewards) a stake pool will be allocated for this epoch.

Once you have completed an active epoch your rewards will be calculated in the next epoch. Your rewards are determined by the total rewards received by the pool, the % of the active stake you have contributed and the fees for that particular stakepool operator.

You are paid the rewards calculated in the previous epoch. For example, if you were active in epoch 250, your rewards for that epoch would be calculated in epoch 251 and you would be paid in epoch 252.
